Course Work: School of Business
I am a Dean's List student-athlete at Florida Southern College, where I am studying Business Administration and Graphic Design. Amongst numerous colleges, I was recruited and signed as a student-athlete at Florida Southern College. I like the smaller town atmosphere and warm weather, although sometimes too hot and humid; proximity to beaches is a +! Who knows, maybe I will make it to one of the women's professional soccer leagues?!
Course Work: real estate, soccer methodology, business management, and Italian
I committed as a GAP-Year student athlete to play high level soccer at Soccer Management Institute (now known as Rome City Institute) while taking collegiate courses at Link University. Additionally, I signed to play soccer with Trastevere Calcio Femminile, Rome Italy. I watched my older brother experience the recruiting process and Italy confirmed I wanted my decision to be much like his ... I wanted to be a part of a university and soccer program where I would develop as a player and as a young woman.
Advanced Course Work: Spanish 4 Honors, English 10 Honors, AP Human Geography, Algebra II Trig Honors
I attended Hawaii Preparatory Academy! As a student athlete, I was on the Dean's list and graduated with a 3.95 GPA. I loved HPA and enjoy the smaller atmosphere and class sizes, but larger environments do not intimidate me. HPA is a no joke academic school and the work is definitely challenging, but both peer and teacher support is readily available for everyone. Being a Prep school, I experience critical thinking, independence, and a global perspective due to a student body representing over 20 nations. After school activities are required of all students. No surprise, my after school activities are Hula and soccer.
Advanced Course Work: Chinese and Spanish
My middle school experience at Hawaii Preparatory Academy was great, and I learned a lot about myself and friendships. I'm glad my dog Rexi was there growing alongside me. One of my most memorable experiences was a Spanish immersion trip to Costa Rica. I was a bit timid of my homestay, which was awesome; and being uncertain that I could really speak Spanish. But, just like our teachers said we were, my classmates and I were fluent in Spanish! I spent a lot of time Crossfitting, dancing Hula, and playing club soccer.
Advanced Course Work: Spanish
Moving to Hawaii during elementary school was a bit scary for me. But, like my parents said, "I'd have a new best friend in less than 24 hours" ... and they were right! I was at Parker School only one year, knowing that I would transfer to Hawaii Preparatory Academy the following year, because there would be more athletic opportunities. But at Parker, my class size became even smaller than before, and I liked the additional focus my teachers gave and I became closer with my peers. I was pretty busy this year dancing competitive Hula and playing club soccer
Advanced Course Work: Spanish Immersion
My first 3 years at Buena Vista was full Spanish Immersion. I remember it being challenging, but I was pretty good at it. One of my most memorable elementary experiences was the annual, year end "Fiesta"! I was a student at Buena Vista for 4 years, then my family moved to Hawaii as I entered 5th grade.
